“Clairvoyance Ⅱ ” UAV of Hanglong Company, a small motor UAV for short-term surveillance, can be equipped with webcam, camera and microwave and so on for reconnaissance and photograph. It is small, convenient, portable and easy to operate and so on. Meanwhile, it can fly automatically and transmit images in the air and bidirectional data with above three points in images quality and 520-line webcam resolution according to task plans into prescribed reconnaissance field. Through special ground control station, it can take photos at fixed time and place. At the same time, it also can change the prescribed flight line at any time during executing task period, which means point flight function with 20Km effective communication transmission distance. This UAV, a new leading tactic reconnaissance one at home, can be used in national defense, frontier sentry, and tactic reconnaissance and so on in army and in police fire prevention, forest fire prevention, communication breakdown, disaster surveillance, anti-terrorism and suppress smuggling, weather, upper atmosphere survey and environment protect and so on in civil. At present, it is the only one at home to take part in Frozen Disaster in South in January, “5.12” Earthquake in Wenchuan, and “6.11” Flood Disaster in South.
1. TheMain Parameter The body is fully made of foam and it looks like a fighter jet in shape. Meanwhile, it is equipped with high-efficiency brushless electric motor supplied by Lithium battery in tail.
2. Guidance-navigation Control and Control “Clairvoyance” UAV, taking off by hand and landing remotely, is set at a fixed height by GPS or atmospheric pressure. And it can fly automatically according to prescribed flight line and change remote or automatic flight condition at any time. The whole system is mainly made up of remote receiver, GPS receiving board, GPS antenna, attitude stability module and automatic flight control module. The video image signal of webcam and camera is transmitted to ground by carried microwave and the flight parameter and data of carried devices are transmitted to ground by small data radio. In the end, the effective radius is 20Km.
3. Ground Control Station The Ground Control Station, made of high-performance composite material from USA with blast-proof, water-proof, fire prevention and fall prevention, is made up of high-performance industrial control computer, image receiving and data transmitting module and polymer battery. Installed Smart@GCS ground station software and eight inches duel screen, it can both achieve microwave image transmission and all parameter and track show of aero-craft at the same time.
The station involves bidirectional data transmission module, image receiving module, receiving or tracking antenna, image display, computer, power manager and working battery. And the usage time is more than three hour one time after charging fully.
The station can easily achieve over-the-horizon remote flight or automatic flight, task plan of flight line, bidirectional data control and real-time supervision to flight track, height, speed, endurance, navigation, temperature, carried communication devices and voltage of dynamic devices through coordination among software on ground. What is more, it also can specially show and record images and flight track of UAV.
4. The Advantage
(1) Excellent portability: The lowest configuration of whole system can be carried by one person; “Fool style” operation: it can take off, navigate, take photo at the fixed place and retreat with parachute automatically.
(2)The body of UAV is made of EPP foam, with the biggest advantages: no reflection from electromagnetic wave, low weight and cost, easy to repair after damage and low pressure for users when they are in using it.
(3)Simple and convenient operation and low cost in maintenance.
(4) Unpiloted aero-craft Controller can automatically take off, navigate, execute task according to prescribed flight line and land with parachute. You can ignore it, which just likes “fool-style” operation. Furthermore, it is easy to communicate with data on ground control station because of radio data connection.
(5)Bidirectional wireless data communication: it represents attitude, coordinate, height, speed, navigation and track and so on, and it can change flight line and parameter at any time.
(6)Carried camera can transmit video images to ground station through taking photo automatically according to order from ground station or process. The images on LCD can be taken photo at fixed time and place according to order on ground station.
(7) Short task plan, convenient loading and wire connection without body.
(8)Ground Control Station can be carried with vector electric map, Google satellite map and photograph, which makes users achieve navigation according to real photo.
(9)The reconnaissance images received from aero-craft can be stored in image data box on ground station, which uses for analysis after working.

(11)No limit in place. It can easily take off with hand or through ejection, navigate and retreat automatically in outskirts, on building’s roof or wide area.
(12)Automatically fly to prescribed landing place and then landing with parachute without interference from people.

(17)Easy maintenance of system. The body of “Clairvoyance” is made of foam with fine ductility and low weight. It is added high-intensity composite material outside, so it can prevent intense strike. Even though the foam on body is damaged, it also can be repaired with common binder. Therefore, the cost is low.
