Yibin City Navigation Affairs Center Cuiping District Center carried out water transportation (passenger ferry)
emergency drill in the waters of Xiaolonghao, Sipo, Cuiping District. Based on the actual situation in the waters
of Xiaolonghao, 4 exercise subjects were set up in this drill for potential risks in the operation of passenger
ferry: out of control emergency exercise for passenger ferry, passenger overboard rescue exercise for
passenger ferry, emergency fire rescue exercise for ship, and Ship oil spill recovery emergency exercise
by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads.
Cuiping District Transportation Bureau, Sipo Town Government, Cuiping District Ferry Management Office,
Minjiang Law Enforcement Brigade, 2 shipping companies, 3 passenger ferry ship owners and other units
participated in this drill. A total of 4 ships and more than 40 people participated in the exercise.
Through the drill, the operability of various emergency plans for water transportation in the Cuiping District
and the self-rescue and mutual rescue capabilities of passenger ferry vessels were further tested, which
effectively improved the emergency rescue capabilities and strengthened the emergency prevention
and emergency response capabilities. At the same time, with training instead of warfare, the emergency
command and decision-making abilities of the command department was tested, and it provided strong
water emergency support for the water traffic in Cuiping District.
