Recently, many rivers in Baidi Town have been seriously silted up, and the rivers are under pressure 

for safe flooding. In order to further implement the "River Chief System" and effectively protect the 

water ecological environment within its jurisdiction, Baidi Town quickly took measures and organized 

personnel to dredged the rivers within its jurisdiction.

The town used excavators to dig through river ditches in time, comprehensively clean up the silt 

of the river by using silt curtains and dredging machines, level the river bed, dredge the "channels" 

connecting the water system, and build dams to ensure the normal functioning of the flood control, 

drainage, irrigation, water supply and other functions of the river when the flood season comes.

Through the development of river dredging, the river course has widened and deepened, the river 

bank has become firmer, the water storage and flood control capacity of the river has been improved, 

and the ecological environment of the water area has also been further improved.
