At the end of last year, the comprehensive rectification project at the tail end of the Fuhe River downstream 

of the Ganjiang River-Xiangshan Junction Phase I temporary navigation special project started in Nanchang. 

The Ganfu Weilu Comprehensive Renovation Project is by far the most invested, largest-scale, and up-to-date 

water control project in our province, with an estimated total investment of about 17 billion yuan.

At present, the west bank of the main channel of the Ganjiang River is in the dry season. The width of the 

entire Ganjiang River is about 300 meters and the water level is about 9 meters. After the completion of 

the Xiangshan Phase I temporary navigation project, the Ganjiang River will be widened to about 1,000 

meters, and the water level will be raised to about 15 meters.

The reporter learned from the Engineering Project Department that the first-phase temporary navigatio

n project of the Xiangshan hub, the main branch of the Ganjiang River, which is currently under construction, 

is a key project of the comprehensive renovation project of the lower reaches of the Ganjiang River. It is to

ensure that the Ganjiang River shipping is not interrupted during the construction period. It was used 

silt curtains and dredgers.

Excavation above the water surface of the entire temporary navigation project has basically ended. Next, 

underwater dredging will begin soon. It is planned to complete the channel dredging in June and the 

construction of the bank protection and the impervious wall in October.
