CNOOC regularly conducts large-scale firefighting, oil spill and other comprehensive drills
at sea to strengthen environmental emergency response capabilities, strengthen training
and emergency drills, and improve overall environmental emergency response capabilities.
CNOOC puts forward a green development action plan from three aspects: green oil fields,
clean energy, and green and low-carbon. In the offshore crude oil transportation operations,
in order to prevent crude oil from entering the sea, oil containment booms are enclosed around
the operation site. CNOOC has invested in the construction of 9 environmental protection
vessels with a total oil recovery capacity of 1,700 cubic meters per hour.
