The Hongjiaoyan first-class fishing port dredging and maintenance project in Linhai City has 

officially started construction. The project has a total investment of 22 million yuan and is 

scheduled to be completed in July next year.

The project will implement the dredging of the inner and outer harbor basins, the outer 

channel dredging, the construction of navigation buoys and the maintenance of the bank 

protection structure, which will lay a solid foundation for improving the infrastructure 

capacity of the port area. Some silt curtains are floating in the sea for silt controlling and 

the dredging ships are starting port drdging. After the completion of the project, more 

than 600 fishing boats can enter the port for anchoring and sheltering from the wind, 

and meet the needs of fishing boats entering the port for replenishment and loading 

and unloading operations. It will effectively improve the infrastructure support capacity 

of the port area, help accelerate the development and construction of Hongjiaoyan 

Fishing Port and drive the development of local fishery .
