Recently, under the unified deployment of Comrade Feng Ning, Director of Chuanshan District Transportation
Bureau, all sand and gravel complexes, ships, and shipowners in Chuanshan District have taken active actions
to thoroughly carry out a special operation of self-examination and self-correction of ships.
In this operations, the Chuanshan District Transportation Bureau, the Ship Stationing District Brigade, the
District Maritime Affairs Department, and the Sand and Gravel Platform Company respectively sent personnel
to form a joint ship anti-pollution supervision team, dispatched 1 marine cruiser and 2 working vehicles to the
Fujiang Chuanshan Duanlaochi waters to continue to operate from 9:30 to 18:30 in the morning, and re-inspected
and supervised ships in the jurisdiction. During this period, the supervision team inspected a total of 41 ships
in the sand and gravel complex of Fuxin Tongchuang and Wanshun Huayuan. (Among them: 15 quarrying
ships, 26 motorized cargo ships), the supervision team focused on the on-site inspections of the company’s
emergency plan for preventing oil pollution, the agreement on slop oil recovery and transfer, the equipment
of terminal recovery equipment, storage of oil booms and oil absorbent pads.The supervision team also
checked the equipment and operations of anti-oil pollution equipment on the ship, the implementation of anti-oil pollution measures on each deck, the removal of additional fuel tanks, the equipment and use of
oil absorbent pads on the ship, and the cleaning of oil pollution in machinery spaces. They practiced the
environmental protection work of traffic people in our district on the navigable waters in their jurisdiction
with actual actions,It will lay a good foundation for the supply of raw materials for key engineering projects
in the region after the sand and gravel industry resumes work and production, and provide some guarantee
for the next sprint to complete the annual target tasks.
