In the morning of 29th,October,CNOOC branch company in Shenzhen organzied the Each ship, helicopter unit in the east area of

South China Sea perform the 2015 year Oil Spill Response Exercise of the eastern SCS sea area in Huizhou logistic base of Daya

Bay.“Hua Ming” and “Hua Fa”steamship from Shanghai Salvage Bureau attended this exercise as the main vessels. 

This exercise simulates the seabed oil pipeline of Offshore platform has a connection plug caused by external force damage leads

to oil spill, the plug head being breakaged leads to about 20tons crude oil leak into the sea and floating on the water.The

Emergency Command Center of CNOOC Shenzhen branch immediately launched, start to on-site emergency disposal and

recycling job as per the requirements of emergency procedures and organize the emergency power.

During the exercise, the two steamships called “Hua Ming” and “Hua Fa”according to the command on-site, firstly deploy 200

meters Inflatable Rubber Oil Containment Boom like”U” shape to contain the oil spill seepage point to prevent the pollution

diffusion. Then drag the Oil Containment Boom like”J”shape to make the spilled oil to fasten on the bottom of J shape, finally

use the Oil Skimmer which carried on the “Hua Fa”steamship to recovery spilled oil.

At 14:30pm, the exercise ends successfully. The exercise overall inspection the science, reasonability and manipulatability of
