The emergency drill was simulated the strong wind on the Qiandao Lake during the voyage 

of cruise ship "Earl", causing the main engine to suddenly fail and accidentally hit the rocks, 

causing the ship to catch fire, personal injuries and falling into the water and pollution of 

the accident waters. 

The fire at the scene of the accident vessel is getting bigger and bigger, and the rescue 

staff of the port and shipping company asked the crew of the ship to guide the 100 

passengers on the cruise ship to put on life jackets and to help transfer tourists. The 

Chun'an Brigade of the Hangzhou Transportation, Port and Shipping Department, 

together with the Civil Security, Public Welfare, and Red Cross Social Rescue Team, 

immediately organized the injured to rescue and put out the fire on the spot.

At the rescue site, rescuers have a clear division of labor and a tacit cooperation, 

rationally dispatching  maritime vessels to control the accident waters and prevent 

other ships from entering the incident area. Tourists get transferred quickly. In the 

air, the drone is closely monitoring the situation in the waters where the incident 

occurred, and accurately threw the lifebuoy for the two drowning tourists to get 

the first time for their rescue. After the accident of the cruise ship was dealt with, 

the Chun'an Brigade of the Hangzhou Transportation and Port Shipping 

Department used oil booms and oil absorbent pads to deal with the oil pollution 

in the waters surrounding the accident ship in time. With the completion of 

all emergency rescue exercises, the emergency search and rescue exercise 

on the water of Qiandao Lake came to a successful conclusion.
