Recently, with the successful positioning of the dredging ship "Changying No. 5" in the Xiaomitan
waterway of the Luzhou section of the Yangtze River, it marked the official start of maintenance
dredging work during the dry period of the Luzhou waterway of the Yangtze River.
The maintenance dredging of the Xiaomitan waterway will be carried out from November 15th
to December 30th, and will be carried out Non-prohibited navigation construction during the
day and no navigation construction in the evening, and the construction volume is estimated
to be 20,000 m3; the dredging site is the shallow area of the transition section of the millet
beach and the downstream cutoff Moraine wings, the total length of the dredging is 367m,
the height of the dredging bottom is 3.2m, and the width of the trench is 70m.It used
dredging ships(with silt curtains) for waterway dredging.
It is understood that some shoals in the upper channel of the Yangtze River were affected
by this year's extreme floods, and the riverbed changed drastically. The bureau took the
initiative to plan in advance, carry out follow-up observations in time after the flood, use
the digital waterway system to compare historical data for analysis and judgment, and
formulate a standard distribution plan for maintenance and dredging of Xiaomitan based
on changes in the waterway, solve the contradiction between construction and navigation,
and provide construction ships a good construction conditions for maximize the carrying
capacity and safe navigation of passing ships.
