In order to deepen the joint prevention and control mechanism of water traffic safety 

between Sichuan and Chongqing in the Jialing River Basin, strengthen the communication 

of water safety management between the two places, and improve the emergencies 

disposal abilities, on the afternoon of November 3, the local maritime affairs office 

of Beibei District, Chongqing City and Jialing District The water traffic emergency 

drill jointly carried out by the local maritime affairs department was held at the pier 

of Lidu Town, Jialing District.

In the nearly two-hour exercise, all the personnel participating in the exercise 

successfully completed the emergency rescue treatment and disposal exercises 

in the three subjects of "ships towing and towing", "crew overboard rescue" 

and "river surface oil spill handling by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads".
