In recent days, the General River Chief office of Qusong County has begun to carry out

dredging work of the key rivers in the country.

In this dredging project, they totally leased 2 excavators, a loader and 3 transporters, which

focusing on river dredging in the Qusong River. They firstly used silt curtains, and then used

these machines. At present, the length of the river has been cleared 500 meters and the river

barrier has cleared more than 800 cubic meters. Through clearing and rectification, the rivers

were become significantly wider and deeper, the river surface was free of debris, and the water

system was smoother. It took a big step toward the goal of “clean water, smooth river, green 

shore, and beautiful scenery”.

In the next step, Qusong County will continue to carry out dredging work on other key rivers in

the county in order to ensure the completion of dredging before the flood season, and then ensure

flood protection, drainage, irrigation, water supply and other functions.
