The Dalian Maritime Safety Administration successfully carried out the 2020 ship oil spill emergency
equipment practical drill in the waters of the Dalian Ship Oil Spill Emergency Equipment Depot. 6
ships, 2 drones and national oil spill depots from Dalian Maritime Safety Administration and social
emergency forces in 8 categories, including recovery, spraying, containment and control,
adsorption, dispersion, emergency transportation, equipment hoisting, monitoring, and 13
oil spill majors Disposal facilities, equipment and equipment and more than 80 people
participated in the drill.
At 9:30, the drill officially was begun. The exercise was simulated a large amount of fuel oil
leaking from a cargo ship docked into the sea. The Dalian Maritime Pollution Emergency
Command immediately activated the emergency plan, dispatched maritime work boats
and multi-rotor drones to go to the accident site to conduct sea-air dual-channel inspections
of the oil spill on the sea, and feedback the oil spill to the emergency command in real time.
According to the accident site report, the emergency headquarters urgently dispatched
social cleanup ships in nearby waters to carry the equipment of the Dalian Maritime Safety
Administration's national oil spill depot for oil spill containment, recovery, spraying and
other emergency cleanup operations by using oil booms, oil absorbent pads, oil skimmers,
oil spill dispersants,etc.. At 10:40, sea and air inspections jointly confirmed that a large
amount of oil spilled on the sea surface had been removed.
