Recently, the Municipal Transportation Bureau carried out the 2020 Bozhou Tourist Ship Distress, 

Fire Fighting and Pollution Prevention Emergency Drill at Shidaying Ferry.

In this emergency drill, a total of 50 participants were dispatched, 10 traffic emergency rescue 

vehicles were used, and 6 ships of various types were deployed. The scene was simulated 

emergency search and rescue exercises such as maritime rescue, fire rescue, search and rescue 

of overboard personnel, and emergency treatment of ship oil pollution by using oil booms 

and oil absorbent pads after the occurrence of dangerous situations, these situations including 

cruise ship fire in the waters of the Shidaying section of Guohe, passengers accidentally falling 

into the water, and ship oil spill pollution. The entire exercise process lasted about half an hour. 

All links were tense and orderly. The exercise personnel worked closely with each other, 

acted swiftly and ultimately achieved a complete success.
