On the afternoon of September 22, Zhejiang Port and Shipping Management Center organized 

the completion acceptance meeting of the Yueqing Bay Approach Channel Maintenance Project

in the Municipal Transportation Building. The meeting listened to reports from construction, 

design, construction, supervision and other units, and conducted a review of relevant materials. 

The acceptance team agreed that the project has been completed according to the approved 

construction scale, standards and content, and agreed to the completion of the project for 

acceptance and delivery.

The maintenance project started on November 8, 2019 and will be completed on April 21, 2020. 

The dredging project volume of the project section is 3.6867 million cubic meters, and the total 

dredging project volume is 5.201 million cubic meters. The dumping area is selected as the

temporary ocean dumping area of the dredged material in Wenzhou Port.It was used silt curtains 

and dredgers.  The completion of the project has significantly improved the appearance of the 

channel and the conditions for the passage of ships, improved the accessibility of the channel, 

and ensured the normal operations of the Yueqing Bay Port Area of Wenzhou Port and the 

Damaiyu Port Area of Taizhou Port. It has a significant impact on the port development of 

Wenzhou and Taizhou.
