Panshan County carry out sudden environmental pollution incidents emergency drill.

The drill was simulated when environmental protection bureau's law enforcement 

officers were inspecting the Shishan water source well No. 3 water source well 

first-level protection zone, and found that a small oil tanker with light oil overturned

due to illegal driving, and some oil in the tank leaked flowing to the surface, it is 

very likely to cause pollution to surrounding water sources and affect the safety 

of drinking water sources in Panshan County.

After the law enforcement personnel reported to the superior department for 

the first time and requested support, the county government initiated the blue 

four-level emergency plan according to the situation, and actively organized 

special actions such as the county public security bureau, the transportation 

bureau, the propaganda department, the water resources bureau, and the 

emergency management bureau. The group rushed to the scene. Based on 

the effective information provided at the scene, an emergency monitoring 

plan was scientifically formulated in the headquarters. According to the division

of labor, the Panshan County Public Security Bureau and the Transportation 

Bureau immediately implemented road closures to maintain public order and 

isolate dangerous areas; county emergency management bureaus, environmental 

Protection Bureau controlled the leakage of pollutants, removed pollutants, 

and cut off the channels for pollutants to enter the water source in the shortest 

time by using oil absorbent socks and oil absorbent pads; the county propaganda 

department strengthened the collection and analysis of public opinion, and correctly 

guided public opinions; Zhongfa Water Supply Co., Ltd. suspended water intake and 

used standby water source wells  and made every effort to ensure the supply of 

drinking water. 

Throughout the process, all personnel were full of energy, acted quickly, and 

completed various emergency response work with high quality. After timely 

and effective treatment, the water quality monitoring results reached the 

standard, and the drill was achieved a complete success.
