Fangchenggang Sanya Channel the first-phase maintenance dredging and obstacle

clearance project passed the acceptance.

The maintenance dredging project of Sanya Channel of Fangchenggang is an 

important project to solve the problem of the safety of large ships entering and 

leaving the port and port production due to the back silting of the channel. 

The implementation of the project will play an important role in ensuring the 

pilot safety of Fangchenggang and normal port production. The project officially 

started on February 27, 2020, mainly for the maintenance dredging of the 

K8+900-K12+400 section, K14+000-BK0+100 section and BK0+700-BK1+655 

section of the Sanya Channel of Fangchenggang, The maintenance and 

construction channel is 5.538km long, 195m wide at the bottom, and -17.9m 

at the bottom elevation, and the amount of dredging works is about 2.11 

million m3.It will used dredgers(with silt curtains).
