Affected by this year’s flood conditions, the flow and water level of the Jiujiang section 

of the Yangtze River continued to operate at a high level, and large-scale siltation 

occurred in the upper and shallow areas. The fall of the water level after the flood 

will affect the navigation and maintenance of the waterway. They will carry out 

dredging work in advance by using silt curtains and dredgers.
