In order to further improve the emergency response speed and actual cooperation ability
of all employees with sudden oil spill accidents, on the afternoon of July 29, Sinopec
Zhejiang Taizhou Linhai Oil Depot and Jiaolingjiang Oil Spill Emergency Joint Defense
Body carried out offshore oil spill emergency drill at the Linhai Oil Depot Terminal.
The emergency drill was officially started at 14:30. This exercise simulated that
"Lingjiao No. 1" ship collided and caught fire while berthing at the Linhai Oil
Depot. About 1 ton of refined oil in the cabin leaked into the river. After the
accident occurred, the Linhai Oil Depot quickly activated the emergency plan
to carry out ship fire fighting as soon as possible, and at the same time, they
reported to the Taizhou Petroleum Branch and the Taizhou Offshore Oil
Spill Emergency Center. Subsequently, the emergency center initiated
the emergency procedures for the Jiaolingjiang Joint Defense Body,
instructed the Linhai Marine Department to organize rescues in accordance
with the emergency plan requirements, and at the same time, they
instructed the Jiaolingjiang Joint Defense Body to immediately deal with
the oil spill. With the orderly cooperation of the Linhai Oil Depot staff
and the crew of "Lingjiao No. 1", the ship fire was quickly extinguished.
After "Zhonghe 1"ship and "Zhonghe 3" ship arrived at the scene of
the accident, they immediately deployed inflatable rubber oil booms
to contain and control oil spills at sea. Subsequently, the "Jiangtong 2"
ship entered the enclosed control area to deploy oil skimmers for oil
recovery operations. The clean-up team shall effectively block, control,
remove and recycle the leaked fuel oil in an orderly and timely manner
to prevent the oil from spreading with the water flow. At 15:30, the
inspection confirmed that the oil spill and cleaning materials were
removed and the drill was declared over.
