In order to familiarize maritime law enforcement personnel with various emergency plans, 

the operation and use methods of emergency equipment, and the emergency response 

capabilities of the inspection team, the Baoshan District Shipping Management Office 

conducted a comprehensive water emergency response practical drill in the water 

area of the No. 1 Plant of Shanghai Iron and Steel. According to the plan and 

instructions of the drill, the drill was successfully completed in the order of 

"drowning personnel rescue, fire ship extinguishing, and oil spill blocking and 

removing by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads". This drill was tested 

the emergency response abilities of the team in the institute, and accumulated 

valuable experience for building an emergency response team with strict 

discipline and outstanding ability.
