The 2020 Meizhou City water search and rescue emergency drill was held in the 

oppsite waters of the Meijiang Fireboat Wharf in Songkou, Meixian County.

This drill was simulated the collision of two ships, some people fell into the water, 

and oil spill occurred. With the rise of smoke, the drill was officially begun. After 

receiving the police through 12395, the Meizhou Search and Rescue Sub-center 

quickly launched a Level III emergency response, and established five action 

teams to conduct traffic control, life-saving, ship rescue, and ship fire fighting, 

oil spill disposal(by deploying oil booms and throwing oil absorbent pads) 

and other subjects. In the life rescue subjects, the relevant member units 

of the Municipal Water Search and Rescue Sub-center dispatched sonar, 

unmanned speed boat, unmanned aerial vehicle and social search and 

rescue forces to assist in the search and rescue of drowning personnel, 

it was provided strong support for quickly and accurately finding the 

location of the drowning personnel. After the drill, the ship inspection 

ceremony was also held.
