The water depth of 6 meters from the Xinzhou to Jiujiang section of the middle reaches
of the Yangtze River initially penetrated. On the 29th, the second phase of the Xinzhou-Jiujiang River Channel Regulation Project (referred to as the “New 9th Phase Project”)
passed the acceptance check and was put into trial operation 4 months in advance.
The new phase 92 project is a key node in the middle of the Yangtze River main
channel. The project reaches from the Hulu Mountain to the Jiujiang Port Passenger
Terminal, with a total length of about 35 kilometers. The main construction contents
include the Xujiawan beach protection project, the bianyu beach Zhoutou protection
project, the Xinzhou right edge protection project, the Caijiadu protection Engineering,
Xinzhou shallow area dredging project, navigation beacon project these 6 projects.
The approved construction period is 36 months, with a total investment of 480
million yuan.
The project started in September 2018, and all construction was completed ahead
of schedule after 20 months of construction. During the construction process, the
Yangtze River Waterway Improvement Center actively promoted project
standardization construction, vigorously carried out construction process innovation,
built large-scale prefabs and put them into production, and comprehensively
promoted the application of VR and BIM technology. The project strictly
implemented ecological waterway construction measures, large-scale
application of new technologies and structured for ecological protection
in the construction of water, shore, and beaches, and the construction
of an ecological revetment will be a total length of about 5.1 kilometers.

consolidation project on the Yangtze River Channel will constructed
approximately 84,000 square meters.
