On May 17, the local marine department of Naxi District held an hazardous chemical ship oil spill 

and fire emergency rescue drill. At 16:00 on the same day, the alarm phone of the emergency 

command branch center of the Naxi District Maritime Office rang hurriedly, and the drill was 

begun. During the unloading process of the “Hongsheng 805” oil tanker of the Luzhou Oil Depot

in Sinopec, An oil spill was occurred. After received the alarm, the Naxi Department immediately 

initiated an oil spill emergency plan,they immediately rushed to the scene, by laying oil booms, 

throwing oil absorbent pads and spraying oil spill dispersant, the leaked diesel was controlled and 

cleaned. Then, the smoke of the bow of the "Hongsheng 805" dangerous oil tanker suddenly 

appeared, and then an open fire was emerged. The driller immediately set up a separation zone, 

blocked it with fire water spray, and cooled the hull of the fire. The drill was achieved a complete 

success.
