In order to effectively prevent and reduce the harmful oil spill liquid pollution caused by ship accidents
during the terminal operations, protect the Yangtze River and improve the emergency handling
capacity of terminal operators, Fangda Jiugang has recently launched a ship oil spill pollution emergency
drill.
The drill was conducted at Pier 4 of the Eastern District of the company's logistics and transportation
department. With the command of the commander in chief, the drill was officially begun. During the
drill, the on-site personnel ordered and coordinated the work in accordance with the drill plan. Some
of them reported to the superiors by telephone as soon as possible, and some contacted to unload
the boat and put down the boat, and assisted in setting up the oil booms to contain the leaked
oil and control it, some of them work with the ship's boss to find the cause of oil leakage. The
whole process was orderly, fast-moving, and tacit without chaos, and achieved its intended purpose.
After the drill, the emergency commander made on-site comments, analyzed the details of the problems
and put forward suggestions for improvement. Through this drill, the terminal operators further
improved their emergency disposal abilities, and the drill achieved the expected results.
