The along waterway in the Wusongkou Internaition Cruise Terminal has always 

been a “blocking point” for cruise ships to berth from the mooring waters. 

The water depth was only about 6 meters, and the slewing space by the 

mooring dock was limited. If the captain drove a little carelessly, the cruise 

ship easily will run aground. After the dredging is finished, the water depth 

here will increase to about 11 meters, which will facilitate large international 

cruise ships to dock at the berth and improve the punctuality and safety 

of the cruise ships. It will use silt curtains and excavator. Baoshan Maritime 

Bureau cruise port and sea patrol law enforcement officials introduced 

that after the blocking point is cleared, the cruise ships will be more 

convenient to rely on.
