The 2019 Qinzhou maritime search and rescue, fire fighting and oil spill emergency disposal drill
was successfully held at the Qinzhou Port on the 18th. This is a sea, land and air "Trinity"
comprehensive emergency disposal drill. The entire drill dispatched 12 ships, one rescue
helicopter and one drone, and more than 200 people participated.
At 15:00 pm, the drill was officially begun. The drill was simulated a construction vessel was
colliding with a fuel tanker when it crossed the east channel. As a result, the oil tank of
the oil tanker was leaked, the fuel leaked from the engine room of the construction ship
and caused a fire. One person was burned and one person fell into the water and
disappeared. After received the report and verified the danger, the Qinzhou Maritime
Search and Rescue Center immediately launched the Qinzhou Maritime Search and
Rescue Emergency Plan and the Qinzhou Port Oil Spill Emergency Plan, dispatched
maritime, marine police, fishery administration, professional rescue helicopters, drones,
fire tugboats, professional marine recovery forces such as oil spill recovery ships and
other clean-up vessels to rush to the scene to implement marine rescue, and at the
same time, they coordinated 120 ambulances to the scene to treat the distressed
people. After nearly an hour of emergency treatment, one crew member was
successfully rescued, and one injured crew member was successfully transferred. All
14 crew members in distress were rescued. The ship fire was effectively controlled,
oil pollution at sea was cleaned up by deploying oil booms and oil absorbent pads,
and the sea surface was cleaned. All exercise subjects were completed as planned.
