This is CircumBohai Sea No.3 Tanker, due to power failure of the ship, it led to be out of control, and ship collided

with the dock, which caused damage of the fuel oil tank and the leakage of the fuel oil." At 10 o’clock on the morning of

July 6, 2017,a strenuous oil spill emergency special drill of the ship kicked off in the operation vessel dock of the CNOOC

Tianjin Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd (Tianjin LNG).

In this rehearsal, the CircumBohai Sea No.3 Tanker, which is working in the operation vessel dock of the Tianjin LNG

Company, due to the emergency power system fault, the ship is out of control, and in view of the influence of the waters

and stormy waves, so it resulted in colliding with the operation vessel dock. It caused damage of the fuel oil tank, which

about 500kg fuel oil is leaked in the sea.

After this accident, CircumBohai Sea No.3 Tanker immediately reported to the maritime department, and they also reported

to Tianjin LNG company, LNG company launched an environmental pollution emergency disposal procedures immediately.

Within 4 minutes, Nanjiang maritime bureau, Dagukou maritime bureau and circum Bohai Sea company and other companies

were received the accident report respectively.

Within 17 minutes, a fire truck sent by the Tianjin LNG company arrived at the accident wharf. Maritime patrol

ships “No.0504 Sea Patrol”and fire towboat “Jingang No.30 Tanker” also arrived at the waters of the warning. And other

four cleanup ships such as “NO.1 circum Bohai environmental protection "and “No.2 circum Bohai environmental

protection” which all arrived at the accident waters in time. They quickly set up a 250-meter-long oil boom, and simultaneously put in oil absorbents sprayed oil spill dispersants and recycled the spilled oil. The cleaning

operations lasted for half an hour.
