Nanan Area conducted 2019 environmental emergency drill. The drill was simulated 

a social construction unit used an excavator to carry out excavation work near the 

product oil pipeline. The hook was dug above the pipeline, the hook teeth were 

inserted into the pipeline, and the pipeline was dug through, causing about 10 

cubic meters of oil leakage. The driver backed up and abandoned the excavator. 

As the leaked diesel oil flows into Lancao Creek, the water environment is polluted, 

which is likely to endanger the drinking water safety of the Yangtze River and villagers. 

After the incident, the pipeline inspector arrived at the scene as soon as possible, 

they immediately reported the accident situation by telephone, started the emergency 

plan, and dialed 119 to report the alarm. Through the efforts of all parties, the 

leakage at the scene was resolved, and the accident did not affect the external 

environment. During the drill, they deployed oil booms and oil absorbent pads to 

control and clean up the spill.
