Aoshan operation area carried out multi-unit linkage oil spill emergency drill.
This drill was simulated when the “Pingan” oil tanker was loading fuel oil in
the 1# Zhonghuaxingzhong 13# terminal, the fuel oil was spilled due to
the damage of the terminal oil pipeline valve and then it was overflowed
from the cofferdam into the sea, resulting in 1000m² marine pollution.
At 9:30, the Xincheng Branch and the Aoshan Maritime Division set up
an emergency response coordination command group after received
the oil spill incident report from the terminal duty officer, The Xincheng
branch was responsible for directing the oil spill shore site command,
and the Aoshan Maritime Department was responsible for implementing
sea area warnings and directing social search and rescue and clean-up
units to implement sea surface oil spill control by using oil booms and
oil absorbent pads. After joint efforts of the units, at 10:30, the valve
oil spill point was successfully repaired, the oil surface treatment was
completed, and the oil spill accident was effectively disposed, and
all aspects achieved the expected results. This drill has dispatched
a total of 14 ships, 9 participating units, and more than 50 participants.
Through this drill, the units in the Aoshan operation area have further
improved the coordination ability of the docks and marine oil spill accidents,
tested the operability of relevant plans and emergency procedures,
and also trained the team and effectively accumulated experience
to similar emergencies.
