The reporter learned that this drill was to test the situation of marine emergency response plans for ships and
their related operations in the city, and to urge the strengthening of personnel training and the maintenance
of anti-pollution equipment and facilities, and improve the emergency response capacities of ship pollution
accidents in the jurisdiction. The drill was adopted a script-free drill mode to simulate the occurrence of cargo
oil leakage during the operations of the oil tanker, including reporting, oil booms containment, oil spill cleanup
by oil absorbent pads and evaluation comments. The main emergency personnel, ships and other equipment of
each unit were well exercised or put into use. The drill was achieved good results.
