On the morning of May 10, Yantian Maritime Bureau organized Yantian International Container Terminal
and Shenzhen Baoyu Marine Ecological Purification Engineering Co., Ltd. to hold 2019 Yantian Port Area
oil spill emergency drill, Yantian District Emergency Management Bureau, Ecological Environment Bureau,
Yantian Street Office and other relevant units attended the exercise and observed the situation.
It is understood that this drill was simulated a fuel leak in a ship berthed at the 2# berth in the West Port
Area of Yantian Port. A small amount of fuel spillage caused marine pollution. Yantian International Container
Terminal started the emergency plan for oil spill accidents, and the participating units proceeded in an orderly
manner according to the procedures of receiving the police, verifying, evaluating, enclosing, and recycling.
It was focused on the inspection of the dangerous report process, decision-making command, and oil booms
layout and oil skimmer operation these oil spill recovery operations. For the first time, this drill was used the
carbon oil booms rail developed by Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School. This product makes full use
of the new nanostructured graphene material for the super-large adsorption performance of oil and macromolecular
organic matter, and it has excellent lipophilic hydrophobic properties. , there are better prospects for promotion
and use. In order to further verify the oil absorption performance of graphene materials, the pool test was carried
out at the drill site and compared with the traditional oil absorbent pads. The test results show that the graphene
material has better recovery ability to the thin oil layer than the traditional oil absorbent pads. In view of the
actual use defects of the oil suction trailer exposed during the test, the R&D unit will rely on the platform advantage
of the “Dapeng Bay Ship Air Pollutant Monitoring and Control Experimental Zone” platform to improve product
design and improve the use effect as soon as possible to solve the thin oil layer adsorption treatment. This world
problem provides Chinese products and contributes to Chinese wisdom.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Yantian Maritime Bureau introduced that through the drill, the
participants, participating units and the observers were further familiar with the danger reporting process, and had
a more intuitive understanding of the characteristics and difficulties of offshore operations, and further familiarized
with the use of anti-fouling equipment. The operation has played a good role in promoting the emergency response
capabilities of the oil spill in the port area.
