Recently, in the Yinhe Village, Chahe Town, workers are pumping water for the 2.44-kilometer
Henggang South River to prepare for the next dredging work.
It is reported that the water system of Chahe Town is developed, and there are more than 100
ditches, ponds and rivers. However, in the past, due to the poor living habits of the villagers,
garbage littering and manure discharge were repeated, and the rivers were dirty, chaotic and poor.
In order to improve and restore the function of the rivers and improve the rural water environment,
in recent years, the town has increased the intensity of manure pollution and rectification, and it
has invested more than 2 million yuan in river improvement. This year, the town was deployed
ahead of schedule, and 17 river dredging plans were planned, with a total length of about 20
kilometers and a settlement of 76,000 square meters. At present, 12 rivers have been dredged
and three-quarters of the progress has been completed. It plans to rectify 3 black stinking rivers
with a total length of about 9 kilometers.
According to Xu Shoubing, the clerk of the town water conservancy service station introduced
after the completion of the river rectification, the town will plant landscape trees on the riverside,
plant aquatic aquatic plants, floating plants and submerged plants on the water surface, and finally
hand them over to the “five-in-one” office of the town for long-term management, and then
they will consolidate the achievements of the rivers and comprehensively repair the river ecology.
The Liangqiansi River from the Nanqiao Village with a total length of 900 meters and a width of 26
meters is a sample of the town. In the past, the river was still a black river with no one to care about.
The river was full of domestic garbage and construction waste. The riverside was overgrown with a
field of view of no more than 50 meters. Three years ago, the town invested more than 70,000 yuan
to dredge the river, and arranged for the cleaning staff to patrol from time to time to clean up the
surrounding garbage and surface floats. It was used silt curtains for controlling the silt and garbage,
and then cleaned them. Now the riverside willows, camphor trees and eucalyptus are stacked and
flourishing, you can see a hundred meters away at a glance.
