Development jointly launched a special inspection of urban black and odorous water remediation,

and “reviewed” the special investigation and rectification of this year's black and odorous 

water remediation. The water quality of Taohuatan waters reached the standard, but the 

satisfaction of the masses did not meet the requirements. The mild black odorous water 

body has not been eliminated.

Recently, the reporter saw in the outlet of the third sewage treatment plant in the 

Taohuatan Park of the Chanhe River that after the treated water entered the river, 

the color was black in a certain range, which was in sharp contrast with the color of 

the upstream water. It was visible to the naked eye in deep and shallow. At the 

scene, the staff of the third sewage treatment plant of the city randomly extracted 

the water sample from the sewage outlet, and the water contained in the white 

plastic bottle was clean and transparent, and did not see any unusual color.

One side is a black river water body, and one bottle is a transparent water quality. 

What is the cause of the visual difference? The relevant person in charge of the 

Ecological Management Bureau of the Management Committee said that it was 

because the color of the water outlet of the sewage treatment plant was black 

and affected by the senses.

The reporter saw at the scene that an excavator had been on standby by the 

river, and a construction canopy was erected along a small channel leading to 

the north side wetland in the river. The person in charge said that the dredging 

work of the river bottom sediment will be started soon, and the construction 

unit has completed the site survey. It will use special equipment such as dredging 

vessels and silt curtains to reduce the source pollution and reduce the odor of 

the water body, which will have initial results.
