Dieshi Township organized with the Fuding Nanxi Reservoir Management Office,

Water Conservancy Bureau, Local Maritime Department Office, Tongshan Sub-district Office, Municipal Water Supply Company, Traffic Law Enforcement 

Brigade and other departments to carry out an emergency ship pollution 

prevention rescue drill in Nanxi Reservoir. 

The emergency drill has dispatched 4 ships of various types, with more than 

30 personnel, and they totally used 120 meters of oil booms and 80kgs of 

oil-absorbent pads. It was simulated oil spill accident of two ships in the

Nanxi Reservoir during the navigation. It was caused one of ships was 

occurred oil spill of the tank, and some personnel was fallen into the water.

the Nanshui Management Office emergency rescue team was carried out 

emergency rescue, pollution prevention and control treatments with the 

help of the maritime and marine police departments, after searching, life-saving and application of oil booms and oil absorbent pads for controlling

and cleaning the oil pollution, the drowning personnel were successfully 

rescued, and the leaked oil was effectively disposed to prevent the 

oil pollution incident of Nanxi Reservoir. Through comprehensive drill, 

we will improve the emergency response capability of water rescue 

and ship pollution prevention, and improve the organization, 

coordination, command and response system for life-saving and 

ship pollution prevention in the river basin.
