In order to improve overall emergency response capacity, to assess the operational and adaptation of contingency plan, for find

and improve the potential issues, Zhejiang Shipbuilding company organized the Oil Spill Accident Exercise on 12th,Nov.,2015.

Exercise background: In the afternoon, a diesel truck which loading 15tons diesel happened oil-conveying pipe leakage, approx,

500kg diesel oil spill out and rapidly diffusion on the vessel and sea. The command center immediately start the oil spill accident

contingency plan after received the emergency call of the oil spill accident, and rapidly launch oil spill clean up.Alert group was

carried out;Dock emergency group plug up the spill hole, and put the Oil Absorbent Pad, and pour Oil Absorbent Granule

 to the ground for cleaning. The vessel cleaning group arrived at the accident site immediately, place the Oil Containment

Boom, Oil Skimmer and Oil Spill Dispersant etc. At 3:00pm, dock,vessels and sea surface completed the spill clean up job.

This exercise simulated danger report, warning zone, oil spill containment and spill clean up etc.To accumulate the valuable

experience of marine oil spill response, improve the capacity of emergency response, organization and on-site command.
