The provincial-level rural river dredging and remediation project

implemented in this year in Shuyang County has been completed. 

A total of 2 county-level river courses have been dredged and 

rehabilitated,with a length of 11.8 kilometers and a total of 

375,000 square meters of earthworks; 43 township rivers were 

dredged, with a length of 95.6 kilometers and a total 908,000 

square meters earthworks; 7 village rivers were dredged, with 

a length of 8.5 kilometers, it was also rectified 10 ponds and 

completed 90,000 square meters.

According to the "Notice of the Jiangsu Provincial Department 

of Finance and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Water

Resources on the timely release of the water resources

development funds for the provinces above 2018 (the first batch

of farmland water conservancy)", combined with the "13th Five-Year" 

river rim planning and agricultural structure adjustment planning, 

The county-level rural river dredging and remediation project area

in 2018 is distributed in 11 townships such as Xianguan, Hanshan,

Machang, Liheng, Tongyang, Miaotou, Beidingji, Qianji, Longmiao, 

Longji and Yanji. . The total investment of the project is 12.06

million Yuan, of which the provincial subsidy is 10.75 million Yuan 

and the county-level financial support is 1.256 million Yuan.

After the implementation of the project, it will used silt curtains 

and dredger firstly, finally the relevant townships in the project 

area will increase and restore the river drainage capacity by 64.48 

cubic meters per second, increase and restore the river drainage 

area by 53.74 square kilometers, increase the water diversion 

capacity by 10.72 cubic meters per second, and increase the

river water storage capacity 2622 cubic meters.
