On the morning of September 14, the Longmatan District Navigation Management Office

and China Shipping Asphalt (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. launched the 2018 water firefighting 

emergency drill. The drill was focused on fire fighting and oil disposal in the CNOOC 

stern oil spill, it was ensured that the exercise was close to actual combat and effective.

At 9:30 in the morning, the drill was officially begun. After receivied the emergency call,

the office immediately launched an emergency plan, and the emergency personnel 

immediately boarded the ship to the site. At 9:40, our emergency personnel arrived 

at the scene and started the fire rescue work. A group of people drove the sea patrol

boats to implement temporary traffic control to ensure the safety of the rescue ship;

a group of personnel approached the CNOOC fire boat, used the high-pressure water 

cannon to carry out fire fighting and rescue, and at the same time, they conducted 

the rescue work through the high-frequency command of CNOOC. At 9:50, the 

ignition potential of the barge was controlled, and relevant oil pollution disposal work 

was carried out by using oil booms and oil skimmer. At 9:55, the risk of the barge 

was eliminated and the rescue work was successfully completed.

The drill was carried out in strict accordance with the emergency rescue procedures.

All the participants were highly focused and grasped the details of the exercise, which

made the exercise fully affirmed by the relevant leaders. In the next step, we will 

summarize the experience of the drill in a timely manner, improve the shortcomings 

in a timely manner, and effectively start from strengthening the construction of 

emergency teams and strengthening the equipment for emergency equipment, 

effectively improving the emergency response capability of water traffic accidents

and ensuring production safety in the jurisdiction.
