In order to comprehensively improve the emergency response capability of the city's water crew and ship
emergencies and the level of tourist assistance in the scenic spots, and quickly take effective measures to
prevent safety accidents. On September 28th, the Meishan Municipal Transportation Bureau and the
Renshou County People's Government jointly carried out a water traffic safety and ship pollution accident
emergency rescue drill. The Heilongjiang Irrigation District Management Office, the Municipal Public Security
Bureau, and the Municipal Tourism Development Bureau participated in the exercise. Municipal Health and
Family Planning Commission, Municipal Water Affairs Bureau, Municipal Safety Supervision Bureau, Municipal
Meteorological Bureau, Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Municipal Fire Fighting Detachment,
Heilongjiang Scenic Area Administrative Committee, Heilongjiang Town Government, Heilongjiang Reservoir
Cruise Safety Joint Team, Heilongjiang Reservoir Fishery management sub-station and local people were
participated this drill. The purpose of this drill is to test the level of water first aid training and the use
of various rescue equipment in the emergency rescue team of the reservoir, and further improve the
overall capacity of the water rescue, so as to achieve "normal drills, emergency rescue”.
This drill was successfully completed the established subjects such as water rescue for ship collision
personnel, ship oil spill prevention and disposal by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads, ship fire
rescue and rescue and anti-terrorism emergency. Through the drill, it was effectively tested the
operability of the emergency plan, enhanced the sudden water accidents handling ability of the
command department, improved the actual combat level of the emergency rescue team, and
accumulated the actual combat experience of preventing sudden accidents. It has further
enhanced the awareness of the people's emergency disaster avoidance and laid a solid foundation
for doing a good job in emergency rescue and other work in the future and ensured timely,
accurately and safely personnel rescue when the danger occurs, and finally minimized casualties
and property losses.
