Recently, the Funan Waterway 12.5m inbound waterway dredging project in the lower reaches 

of the Yangtze River was officially started construction. The three measures of the Maritime Division

of Zhangjiagang Port Area have carefully maintained the safety of the project and ensured the safety

of the navigation and the safety dredging construction.

First, strict navigation is required. The department requires that the construction vessel display the 

relevant signals strictly according to the regulations during dredging, and maintain the VHF listening. 

When the ship was driving into or out of the dredging area or the mud dumping area, it must be 

strengthened and carefully driven, actively avoided the docks by departing the ship and sailing the ship. 

The second is to strictly control the publicity. The department actively promotes safety propaganda 

and VHF broadcast safety reminding information to remind the passing ships to strengthen their hopes

when passing through the working waters. Driving carefully and contacting in advance to confirm 

the intention and keep safe. The distance passes slowly. The third is to strictly control pollution prevention. 

The Department attaches great importance to the actual dumping position of the mud carrier. It requires 

the construction party to throw mud in the specified area in strict accordance with the requirements of 

the navigation notice. If there has salvage, it should be handled separately in strict accordance with relevant

laws and regulations. It can used silt curtains to isolate and then salvage it. It is forbidden to steal into the river.
