Recently, the first work coordination meeting and experience exchange meeting
for the 2018 Yangtze River maintenance dredging was held in Nantong, which
was hosted by the Yangtze River Nanjing Waterway Engineering Bureau. Yao
Yong, deputy director of the Changjiang Waterway Bureau, and 62 persons
from the relevant units of the Changhang Navigation System and representatives
of the project supervision unit attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the Yangtze River Nanjing Waterway Engineering Bureau department
introduced the implementation of the project, focusing on the completion of construction,
construction difficulties and the next steps. The supervision unit introduced the
development of the supervision work, the difficulties and countermeasures. The waterway
bureaus along the Yangtze River reported the dredging management of the navigation
channels in the jurisdiction. Participants exchanged views on the market operation of
the Yangtze River waterway dredging and maintenance, and made suggestions. The
dredging and maintenance department of the Yangtze River Navigation Administration
and the Yangtze River Channel Improvement Center put forward relevant work
requirements in light of the opinions of all parties, focusing on standard management,
doing a good job in project declaration, production data statistics, ensuring dredging
equipment investment, and channel evolution analysis and pre-judgment. .
Yao Yong made a concluding speech at the meeting. He expressed his affirmation at the
meeting to actively discuss the market operation of the Yangtze River navigation dredging
and maintenance. At the same time, he also put forward specific requirements for the
construction, supervision and management units, and required the engineering units to
strengthen on-site construction management, handle the contradiction between construction
and navigation to ensure safety; do a good job in data statistics, pay attention to data collation
and analysis, lay a good foundation for budget work; strengthen the dredging assessment work,
scientifically and rationally arrange dredging, and ensure the navigation channel guarantee rate;
It is necessary to ensure that the construction equipment is adequately invested, created innovative
construction techniques, and improved construction efficiency. The supervisory unit is required to
perform its duties conscientiously, standardize management, and ensure that the project management
meets relevant requirements. The waterway unit is required to perform its management duties
conscientiously. The regional waterway bureaus should establish tracking, observation and analysis
mechanisms, continuously improve the shallow siltation change analysis capability of the navigation
waterway, provide support for the budget and implementation of the channel maintenance dredging,
and assist the engineering units to coordinate the navigation channel maintenance dredging and jointly
promote the smooth progress of waterway maintenance dredging.

was constructed on the Nantong waterway construction operation. They inspected the construction of
the dredging project in the lower waterway of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and asked about
