June 5th is the World Environment Day. In order to improve the environmental 

awareness of ships and related units and prevent ships from polluting the marine

environment by deploying oil booms and using oil skimmer, the Shantou Maritime

Bureau organized timely arrangements in accordance with relevant activities,

combining daily cruising, boarding check, and window processing, etc. 


Shantou Maritime Department edited the propaganda materials of “Control 

of Pollution from Ships and Create Blue Sky” in time according to the actual 

conditions of the area, combined with daily cruising, boarding check, and 

window processing, etc. They also explain to relatives the protection of 

marine ecological environment and the prevention and control of water 

pollution. They required thehe relevant requirements to strictly do a god work 

in prevention and control of ship pollution, and effectively protect the city's 

marine environment.
