In order to further improve the emergency response coordination mechanism, effectively prevent 

and resolutely contain the occurrence of major accidents, and ensure the safety of ports and 

maritime operations, this morning (September 24), 2021 Shandong coastal ship-shore safety 

emergency comprehensive drill was held at Shunxin Port Terminal,Dongying Port, Dongying 

City, Shandong Province.

This drill was simulated the criminals conducted man-made damage to terminal facilities 

and crude oil carriers, then it caught fire, and occurred crude oil leakage, after the

happening of danger, relevant units immediately activated emergency plans to control 

criminals, and quickly organized emergency forces to extinguish the fire of docks and ships, 

then they carried out crude oil containment and recovery by using oil booms and 

oil absorbent pads until the danger is successfully handled. The whole drill was divided 

into three parts, namely, port facility and ship security incident emergency exercise, 

wharf and ship fire incident emergency exercise, and oil spill incident emergency exercise.

This drill is a comprehensive inspection of the port and maritime emergency response 

capabilities. Through the drill, the scientificity and operability of the port and maritime 

emergency plans have been effectively verified, and the emergency rescue capabilities 

of the departments and the linkage and cooperation capabilities have been improved.
