The Xingang Maritime Bureau recently organized a special oil spill emergency response drill for its jurisdiction in 2017. There was 5 ships participated in this drill. The drill was included disposal of unexplained spilled oil, dispatching of emergency ships, traffic control in the port, deployment of oil booms, and emergency disposal of oil spills and other subjects. This drill was also the first special drill after the establishment of the maritime emergency response mechanism in Xingang District. This drill was simulated large-scale oil spills in the front waters of the Tianjin Port Ferry Terminal, and the Xingang Maritime Bureau immediately activated emergency forces and resources to participate in maritime emergency clean-up operations. Through cooperation among various departments, the oil spill over the sea has been effectively controlled and cleared, and the danger has been lifted.
